A couple is suing 63 companies for causing an asbestos-related lung cancer diagnosis.
Robert Drzymala and Nancy Drzymala have filed a lawsuit against the defendant companies in St. Clair County Circuit Court on Feb. 8. The suit doesn?t specify where the plaintiffs reside.
The companies exposed Robert Drzymala to products containing asbestos all through his employment, the complaint says. Robert developed lung cancer as a result of his regular exposure to the dangerous products, the plaintiffs claim.
Rovert Drzymala worked in U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1964, the suit says. After that, he worked with Atlas plastics as a laborer and with Buffalo Forge as a pattern maker, according to the lawsuit.
The nine-count complaint is asking for a judgment in excess of $100,000, compensatory damages in excess of $100,000, and fiscal damages in excess of $150,000. The plaintiffs are also seeking exemplary and punitive damages.
