Saturday Open Thread: Israel Air Force kills terrorist in Gaza

It would be interesting if we could know how the Peace Prize committee feels about their choice of Mr. ?Kill List? ?drone strike? Obama. The guy who invaded Libya for absolutely no reason at all resulting the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians.

I wonder how they feel about their idiotic choice, their totally childish behavior, today? They have made the Peace Prize a laughing stock, with no value whatsoever. Silly people. Oh, he?s Black! Let?s give him a Prize for the color of his skin even though he has only been in office 15 days and has done nothing at all ever.

The problem actually started, I believe, with Arafat. It was at that point that the Peace Prize committee moved from rewarding past behavior and accomplishment, to feeling that they could influence future behavior. The idea being, if we give a terrorist or a Prime Minister a Peace Prize, well then of course they will behave Peacefully. They have to! After all, we gave them a Peace Prize. How could they be violent after that? This was a very narcissistic and megalomaniacal point of view.

They were not content to just be an award, they wanted to become a political entity with influence. The way the Peace Prize is used today has nothing at all to do with its original intent.
